Five Point Security Policy

We take the security of your data very seriously and you can count on us to keep all your customer and financial records safe and sound. Even our developers cannot get access to your data!

To show you how we protect your business we’ve created a five point security policy that will put your mind at ease.

SSL Encryption

All data that travels between your web browser and our servers is protected by a 256-Bit Encrypted SSL certificate. Take a quick look at the padlock icon in the address bar at the top of your browser. This means that your data is encrypted whilst it travels between you and our server.

Database Encryption

It goes without saying that your username, password and email address are encrypted within our database but we go one step further.

All your customer information, financial records and notes are also fully encrypted within our database. The only thing we don’t encrypt is numbers as without context they mean nothing.

Server Security

All our servers are UK based so you know you are dealing with UK data protection laws. We don’t transfer any of your data outside of the UK so you can sleep easy at night.

The data centre we use is state of the art and employs extremely high levels of security like 24/7 monitoring, biometric and controlled access.

People Security

Only your username, password and business code can give you access to your data.

None of the staff at Capewell Data Solutions have access to your records at database or software levels and all staff are required to sign a data security contract.

We offer a screen sharing facility for support issues but no screen shots are taken and you are always in control of the data that our support staff will see.

Reliability & Backups

We perform regular maintenance and monitor all our infrastructure on a continual basis and together with our partners can respond immediately to any issues that arise. The last thing you want is downtime so we work really hard to make sure we get as close to 100% uptime as possible.

From time to time we’ll need to maintain our server and on rare occasions, this may mean some downtime. We try and perform this type of work on a Sunday and will always let you know in advance.

Our whole system is backed up on a daily basis and we manage a number of failsafe’s so even if a hard drive goes down no data is lost.
